Required Training

Training Standards

Required training must relate to the operation of a municipal court and must be prescribed by the Georgia Municipal Courts Training Council on an annual basis.

First-year training requirements may be satisfied by completing the training provided for municipal court clerks during their first year of service.

Training Records and Noncompliance

The Georgia Municipal Courts Training Council maintains records of training completed by municipal court clerks. If a municipal court clerk does not satisfactorily complete the required training, the council shall notify the governing authority of the applicable municipality and the chief municipal court judge.
